Just one week before the CQWW we raised the tower 1 till 18m. Tower 1 is a really strong telescopic antenna but was really difficult to manage (extend and collapse) due to the weight and we have had problems for years, so finally we decided to remove all the telescopic mechanisms and extend the different parts with crane and fix the parts with cross beams (easy and cheap)…Now the tower supports the 17-4 antenna (40m…10m) and is capable of supporting 2 additional wire antennas (160 inv or inv-L or deltas).
